How to use the Excel Repair tool

There you can find the step-by-step instruction of Excel recovery procedure. Excel Repair operation performed in several steps. Demo version allows to preview data to be recovered but the save function is restricted. The user is able to preview data to be repaired and decide if the eRepair Excel is able to help. Demo restriction will be disabled after registration.

Download, install and launch the eRepair Excel utility.
Select the corrupted MS Excel file to be repaired at the first page of recovery master. You can use the standard Explorer or select the file that was previously recovered or type in the file name manually.

The source damaged Excel file is selected.

When the file is selected, click to the Analyze button and confirm that you wish to start the recovery process.

eRepair Excel utility will start automatically scanning and reading the source file content. It will detect the information of damaged Excel file that can be saved later.

When the program finishes the repair process of xls file, it will display all information that it could recover and save from the corrupted file. It shows data similar as Excel shows it. It is able to switch between sheets of previewed Excel spreadsheet and scroll data.

Please inspect the result carefully, demo version shows the same result as the registered one, but it is not allowing to save repaired data with demo version.

You can use the Settings menu to configure the repair preview and result. In case of the high amount of data it is able to reduce the previewed data (row count limit) . It allows you to speed up the analyzing but you will be able to preview truncated data.

Each cell contains the repaired value. After exporting, all repaired formats will be applied. (Cells format, size, type, font)

Click the Start Recovery button to save the previewed data. eRepair Excel will launch the Microsoft Excel start to transfer data to a new Excel spreadsheet. After the program finishes exporting data to Excel, you will be able to save the recovered data as a new Excel file.

At the end of processing, the program will show the summary:

ATTENTION: eRepair Excel do not change, modify or add any information to the source Excel file. Repair tool is reading and extracting data from corrupted Excel file and exports data to Excel worksheets. The Microsoft Excel is required to be installed.
